A coworker brought fresh avocados from what he called his parent's "Avocado Ranch" in California. We teased that 'ranch' usually implies livestock, "Git along little avocados!" but he answered well. The property had been a ranch before it was a farm, and the family would refer to it as such, whether or not we dissed it.
Okey-dokey. I don't care, but I'm glad they caught them, 'cause the little buggers were so good.
